What a pleasant surprise these last two weeks of February have been. I would have forgotten it was winter if it weren’t for the morning temperatures. The Whitecapper one day Regatta was on Sat. February 19th with 50 degree temperatures and the wind that was not quite whitecapping. Race committee of Robert Burke and volunteers managed to get 3 races for both fleets on Saturday.
It seems that almost every race we have had during this Winter season, showcases a new boat. This regatta was no different. We are very proud of our new J-24 fleet member of Brad Bowers and his boat #555. Brad has been crewing on J-24’s and the J-90 for a couple of years, so look out for him and his bright white boat. We were also lucky that our famous/infamous webmaster and photographer was out on the point taking pictures. I have included many of the photos that he took.
